I'll be giving Ubuntu a go soon, ive only just got a hold of Fedora Core 5 though
but i ordered the disk, ill have it soon enough

Why not use Maya?
Lunux can run that last time i checked.

Max is much better for game development, esp with DirectX integration, i can impletment game shaders into Max, to see how levels / Characters will look ingame without compiling the models and launching the engine.

oh i see, i thought you just did stills and possibly some animation.
Yes, ive heard that Max is for games and Maya for films before.
